Winterizing Your Pool and Spa

Winterizing with 303® Products

Fall finds many people putting up their summer gear and getting ready for winter.  This is specially true for people with vinyl swimming pools and patio furniture.

Swimming Pools get cleaned and covered.  Toys get deflated and stored for the winter.

Whether it's the top foot of a vinyl pool liner, the pillows which hold your pool or spa cover off of the water, a dragon float toy, a Sevylor mattress or a bright colored ball -303® Aerospace Protectant™ will help restore pliancy and prevent breakdown.

303® Aerospace Protectant™ leaves an invisible finish which will prevent chemicals and sun from breaking down your vinyl.

Without protection, those costly float toys, liners and inflatable pillows stick together and to each other, crack and fail.

Even the exposed top foot of a swimming pool liner gets frequent exposure to UV light, usually on the east and west sides. This will cause the liner to become brittle and crack - and replacing the liner is extremely expensive and time consuming.

Constant exposure to chlorine, chemicals, lotions, oils, and the sun's UV rays slowly break down vinyl, often making it sticky and brittle - impossible to use next year without causing damage when unpacking it for another summers use.  Also while unpacking, seams of floats and pillows get damaged, causing holes which are difficult (if not impossible) to patch.

Often people find themselves replacing their toys and inflatables when they open their pool for the summer which is very costly - since most accessories prices rise in summer and fall in winter.

If you apply 303® Aerospace Protectant™ to toys, inflatables, spa covers and all other vinyl material when stored - you can reuse these items year after year. Just spray on and wipe dry and you will get many more years of service out of vinyl products.

Umbrellas, Cushions and covers left outside, will sustain a tremendous amount of damage and will require a lot of work and money to clean. Water will soak through and often people will retreat with a silicone water repellent which will attract dust, dirt and grime - staining the fabric.

303® High Tech  Fabric Guard has been proven best for water repellency, stain resistance and UV screening. It's the best value due to superior performance, coverage and durability. 303® High Tech Fabric Guard is the ONLY re-treatment product recommended by Glen Raven Mills.
