Keeping Black Plastic Fenders Black with 303® Aerospace Protectant™
What causes the black fender flares on my jeep to turn gray? What can I do about it?
Fender flares are commonly made from urethane, a plastic subject to UV degradation. Exposure to sunlight causes graying and oxidation.
Some manufacturers of fender flares and other urethane components and accessories, recommend periodic applications of 303® Aerospace Protectant™.
Use 303® Aerospace Protectant™ on to restore a like new, lustrously black appearance to graying fender flares. Then periodically reapply 303® Aerospace Protectant™ to maintain that like-new appearance. (Reapplication varies with exposure, typically every 4-6 weeks.)
