Cross Country Skiing

This Tech Tip was e-mailed from Mr. Brian Lucas, a long-time 303® Products user living in Alberta, Canada. These uses are an excellent example of 303® Aerospace Protectant's™ very useful anti-icent property.  Thanks for the tips, Brian.

Cross Country Skiing, Ice Fishing and 303® Aerospace PROTECTANT™:

Dear 303®, please find the following winter uses I have found here in Canada.

Cross Country Skiing:
Put 303® Aerospace Protectant™ on the top of cross country skiis, particularly in the harness area.  This repels snow build up when high mountain skiing or skiing classic style in new snow.  Apply 303® also to the entire boot and to the exterior of the gaitor, particularly on the zipper.  (Note:  Gaitors are nylon leggings from boot to knee to keep legs dry in new fallen snow.  In Norway these are called Birkebeiners since they were once made from birch bark).

Ice Fishing:  Apply 303® Aerospace Protectant™ to the fiberglass roofs & aluminum poles of ice fishing tents.  Also, to keep ice from building up on ice fishing equipment, particularly the auger blades and ice ladels (used to keep the hole free of ice).  Also, use on vinyl seats and ski runner blades on snow machines (snowmobiles).
